if it is the 4.0 look on passenger side back of the engine at the top almost need a flashlight and mirror i had to undo wiring harness to get to it and change

The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body at the end of the throttle shaft.
The crank shaft positioning sensor is behind the starter. A real bear to get to.
The 1999 Chevrolet Alamo crank shaft position sensor is located on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crank position sensor.
The throttle position sensor is mounted to the throttle body on the end of the throttle shaft opposite of the lever.

It is behind and underneath the cam shaft gear.
The camshaft position sensor is integral with the distributor. So, have it checked carefully by a professional because, if the sensor is faulty, the distributor must be replaced. That can get ugly expensive real quick.

The CPS is located on the front of the engine attached to the harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft.
