Where is the coils on 1991 Chevy Cavalier located on engine?

there are two coils one for pistons 1 and 4 and another for 2 and 3 they are in the back of the block on bottom close to the fire wall the easiest way for me was to go underneath the car it is a bit tricky to get to the bolts (4)

It depends on what engine yu have but on a lot of them it is under the coils. If your car has a dist it is inside.

On the V6 engine, the ignition coil are on the top back of the engine where the spark plug wires attach to . On the 4 cylinder, theyh are located inside the housing that covers the top of the engine. That housing needs to come off, turned upside down, then you will see the coils.

the 1999 Chevy venture does not have distributor cap, he has a electronic module assembly, assembly is module and three coils, they are located on the top of the engine, back in the medium near of the firewall.

If you have the Quad Four engine, the coils are located beneath the IDI cover on the top of the engine (large plate that says "Quad Four" on it). Remove the IDI cover, and they are located below.If you have the 3.1L MPFI V6, the coil packs are located at the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold, facing the radiator.

The coils and the module are located on the firewall side of the engine. You have to take the coils and the module off at the same time. its a pain to get at, but it can be done. You'll need a 1/4" drive socket set and about 2 hours time. Some of the coils are located on the passenger front of the engine also. Just follow the spark plug wires to the coil packs. Once found, begin the repair.

Inside that flat cover on the very top of the engine.There are 2 inside that plastic housing,after you remove that assembly.

Unplug the two wire connectors located above the ignition coils (one has two wires the other larger one has three wires, usually) remove the two ignition coils (4 X 5.5mm bolts). The module is located under the two coils (the coils plug directly into the module).

if its a 3.1, the map sensor is on top back of engine just before the coils. has a vaccum hose running to it. it is black and rectangular. hope this helps!

IF IT IS A 4 CYL YOU PROBABLY HAVE A BAD CRANK SENSOR OR IGNITION MODULE.

It has a coil on plug or coilpack setup. The spark plugs are located under the coils. Once you remove the coils you will see the hole the spark plugs are located in. Look for the coils on the side of the engine
