The sensor is threaded into the coolant passage in the back of the cylinder head.
My coolant light come on want can it be.
Cooling fan should come on when coolant temperature exceeds 235 degrees Fahrenheit or A/C or defroster are turned on
The 1996 will not have a hole in the rear of the head for the gauges coolant temp sender.
It could be the wiring, or more likley the temperature sender is bad.
Whats the normal temp for 1996 Cadillac devlle
On a 1996 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine : The coolant temperature gauge sender is by the engine cooling thermostat housing ( follow the TOP radiator hose from the radiator , it connects to a metal pipe which is part of the thermostat housing ) When standing in FRONT of the vehicle , I BELIEVE it is the sender on the LEFT , the other sender is used for the EEC V / OBD II system
P0125: insufficient coolant temperature for closed loop fuel control you need an ECT sensor engine coolant temperature
P0118 means: Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit HighP0118 means: Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High
The ECT or the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is a switch. This switch is located on the bottom of the radiator in the 1996 Camry.
can you tell me the location of the coolant temperuture on a 1996 f150 4.9 six cylinder engine
Could be the coolant temperature sensor.
Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer) ECCS Component Parts Location
Could be thermostat opening and closing adjusting to coolant temperature Could be a bad temperature sensor
Selling price of a 1996 Saturn?
Low coolant? defective thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or airbound? Control cable not working? Water pump not circulating coolant?
You don't "fill up" the water pump. The water pump is just a pump that moves coolant throughout the engine cooling system. You add coolant at the radiator or the coolant recovery tank.
The location of the coolant temperature on the 1996 Honda Passport is actually behind the alternator. You can see the sensor in any Haynes or Chilton's manual for that vehicle year.
In most cases the single wire sensor runs a temp gauge or temp light. The double wire sensor feeds info to the vehicle's computer and operates relays for the cooling fans. This may or may not be the case for your Saturn.
Coolant temperature sending unit is located on the front of the engine. The cooling temperature sending unit will be on the right hand side of the engine.
unscrew old unit screw in new unit.
It is the two wire sensor next to the thermostat housing.
To the left of the thermostat housing, It screews into the intake water jacket.
