Where is the crank sensor on 99 suburban?
It is mounted on the side of the timing cover on the front of the engine behind the harmonic balancer.
Right above the starter, but you'll have to first drop the starter to get access to the CPSensor. my son in law has a 99 suburban 5.7 and the crank sensor is located on the passenger side of engine at the front by the timing chain cover.

Idk about the 99 civic but on my 95 jdm d15 the crank shaft position sensor is in the distributor. If the sensor is bad then you must replace the whole distributor. A bad wire could also cause this problem. Hope that helps good luck. jdmd15crx

The crankshaft sensor for the 5.2L Chrysler models is on the transmission bell-housing. It is above the starter, I had to remove the starter in order to get to the sensor. After that it was a piece of cake.

All Northstars have 2 crank sensors, there are located just to the side of the oil filter adapter & behind the front motor mount. I strongly you forget about figuring out which one is sensor A & which is sensor B. Replace both! 93-99 are the same part number for both sensors & are interchangeable. 2000+ have 2 different part numbers for each sensor & are not interchangeable with the 93-99 sensor.

The crank sensor on a 4.3 Blazer is located at the front of the engine, under the crank shaft pulley. To replace it, remove the wire plug and the 8mm bolt holding it to the timing cover. Clean the area up before installing the new sensor, lubricate the )-ring on the new sensor with motor oli before installing it. Snug up the bolt and replace the wire connector.

Laying under the front of the engine, It will be in the left bottom side of the timing cover behind the harmonic balancer.

On back of engine right above the transmission bell housing on the driver's side. It has one bolt with a 10mm head that holds it in. It is a three wire sensor.
Look at the bottom front of the engine / Big pulley. Witch is called a Harmonic balancer. The crank sensor is bolted into the left side of the timing cover behind the balancer.
