Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 86 buick century?

I am assuming this is a 3.0L or 3.3L or 3.8L (90 degree) V6 engine.
Remove the crankshaft vibration damper. There is a plastic shiels there, yank it off. You now are looking at the crank sensor.
To remove the above mentioned damper, you should use a special tool designed for this purpose. If not available, you need a functional brain, generic 2 or 3 BOLT type puller with three bolts, and some time to think about what you will break if you screw this up. If you use a jaw puller, you deserve to buy a new damper anyway. Rubber is just plain obviously not as strong as steel.
