There is none. The engine ECM signals each spark plug coil when to fire.
You can find it on the top of the engine. There is only one cap. On Camry 1997-2001 it's closer to the passenger side.
It does not have it.
No. The coil is the piece at the other end of the wire that comes out of the center of the distributor cap.
its under the distributor cap. its black and is held to the distributor with 4 Phillips screws. there are 2 studs for the control wires.
I own an 1996 V6 GX Toyota Camry I have recently changed the spark plugs but I think I have got the spark plug leads in the wrong order on the distributor cap. Starting at 1200 and going clockwise, can anyone tell me the correct firing order? Thank you
each wire has a plastic cap on the distributor end with a small tab on the end cap. With a small flat tip screwdriver, lift the tab a little and the cap should pull off easy.
Ignition rotor and cap? Remove distributor cap usually clips or screws Rotor should lift off - replace in same position should have a "key" slot to insure proper position Install new distributor cap and transfer wires one at a time to insure proper placement
There is a cap on the top of the valve cover. If you remove it you will be able to add oil in the engine though the opening behind the cap. Be careful don't overfill the engine.
Could be the distributor. That just happened to mines.
your car is out of gas
The 1997 Escort LX 1.9 does not have a Distributor cap.. the plug wires go directly from the coil assembly to the spark plugs.
No, it has coil packs, there is no distributor.
