Where is the erg valve located on 1997 Chevy s10?
Do you mean the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system? If so the EGR valve is located on the backside of the cylinder head under the hood cowl. Common EGR symptoms are rough idling, stalling at idle, rough engine performance during light throttle application, and stalling during deceleration. Hope this helps
You have a 1997 mercury mountaineer 50 liter and you replaced the egr valve and solenoid what else can be making by check engine stay on?
Answer I had the same problem; did alot of research and found that the ERG valve wasn't the issue. There is a device just before the ERG Valve called a DPFE sensor that was causing the error but the computer couldn't differentiate it. Check out this link and replace this part. It takes about an hour and its a bit of a pain but it cleared my check engine problem once and for all. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164517
Where are the pcv and the erg located on a 1993 Cadillac DeVille 4.9 and is it difficult to change them?
The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is located on the right of the valve cover near the front of the engine. There is a hose from the valve to breather or air cleaner. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is under the air cleaner close to the fuel rail. These both have a difficultly level of zero, but may take you a little while longer if you haven't worked on cars much. :o)
