It's according to whether you have a V6 or 4 cylinder the V6 would be under the body a little toward the fuel tank but the 4 has it under the hood by the master cylinder.
On the 1991 S-10 2WD 2.8L follow the fuel rail from the throttle body under the air filter, down the front of the motor on the driver side just below and behind the Power Steering pump.

I have a 1991 S-10 Blazer and found out the hard way that the fuel pump is located in the gas tank and the fuel filter is mid chassis opposite side of the muffler up in the chassis rail. I'm sure it is the same for a S-10 pickup.
