The big rubber engine air intake tube will go from the engine air filter to the engine throttle body

The last year Chevy used the tbi (throttle body injection) on the 4.3L was 1995. If you have the flat rectangular air filter located in the drivers side front corner of the engine compartment, it is cpi (central ported injection).

The location of the air filter varies with which engine your car has. If it is the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine the air filter is over the the throttle body. If your car has the 2.8L V6 with a carburetor the air filter is over the carburetor. If your car has the 2.8L V6 with fuel injection the air filter is in a canister mounted to the inner fender well on the passenger side.
If the engine has a carburetor the fuel filter will be where the fuel line connects to the carburetor. If the engine has fuel injection the fuel filter will be next to the fuel tank on the outlet tube.
The throttle body is where the carburetor would be on a non-fuel injected engine. Trace the air duct from the air filter to the engine, that's where you will usually find it.
You did not specify as to the engine size. Generally they are located in the air tube from the air filter to the throttle plate.

The ENGINE air filter is located in the engine compartment , near the front , on the passenger side , inside the round shaped plastic air filter housing ( it connects to the big rubber engine air intake tube that goes to the engine throttle body ) P.S. it doesn't have a cabin air filter

I have a 99 Chevy prizm. The throttle body is located on the driver side of the car in the engine. Following the air filter housing (the black tube) you will it connected to the engine. It will have a clamp on it. You need a screwdriver to loosen the clamp. It might be a bit hard to remove.
