You will find it in the fuel tank with the pump. that is the sock at the end of the pump motor. I bought a fuel filter for my 95/96 Dakota and it clearly bolts to the under body or frame kinda the same as the Ford Ranger, but I can't find mine!HELP!!!!!!!!!
if the truck has a 2.5 then there is an inline filter mounted along the frame rail. otherwise there is a sock filter in the tank but there is also a filter/regulator assy. on the top of the fuel pump module that for 96 is only serviced with the fuel pump assy. these very seldom go out, so this is most likely not your problem.
well im trying to find that same information myself. However, the fuel filter for a 1995 Dakota is in the fuel pump in ur tank. Oh boy, right? lol. I'm praying it ain't the same but fearing it is. hope i helped.
where is the fuel filter located on 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9L
There isn't one. The filter is part of the pump module in the tank.
It doesn't have a cabin filter.
It's built in to fuel pump in the fuel tank There is a sock at the end of the tube inside the tank, but the actual fuel filter is located along the driver's side frame rail.
Bottom of the engine on the oil pan.
on top of the fuel tank
It doesn't have one.
The fuel filter on a 1996 Dodge Ram with the 8.0 L is inside the fuel tank, part of the pump module.

its a in tank fuel filter replace the sock on the fuel pump
