Description: The fuel filter looks like a small coffee can, it is approximately 4 inches long and 2 inches in diameter and silver in color. Location: The filter is located in the fuel line almost directly under the drivers seat, attached to the inside of the frame rail. Replacement: You MUST discharge the pressure in the fuel system, failure to do this will result in 90 PSI gasoline being sprayed under your car, and on you. Raise the vehicle, if needed. Locate the filter and determine if it is a bolt on or if it has special clips. *Bolt on, leave the bracket to the frame tightened, and use TWO wrenches to loosen the lines (failure to use both may damage your fuel lines). Once both sides are loose catch any gasoline that may leak into a safe container. After the leakage has stopped loosen both lines completely, then remove the bracket. * Clip On, Remove the bracket holding the filter to the frame and move it away from the frame for more clearance. Ensure you are using the correct size compressor, and clamp it on the line.
