Where is the fuel filter located on a 1999 Honda Accord?
Answer The fuel filter is in the gas tank and not a quick change. like one on the outside And FYI, the filter is rated for the life of the car and very expensive on labor to replace. Unless you have serious particles introduced to your tank, like your kid put crushed leaves in it, I wouldn't worry about it.
NO! The filter on your Accord is a non-maintenance item. It is inside the transmission and the unit must be disassembled to gain access to the filter. It is only replaced when the transmission is rebuilt. However, you need to change your transmission fluid every 60,000 miles. Caution!! Use only Honda ATF Z1 transmission fluid, and nothing else. Not a substitute or a universal fluid.
I've never seen a Honda which has a tranny filter. Just a drain plug and that's it. There is no drain pan, therefore you can't take off a drain pan to change the filter (if it had one). I own a 2002 CRV and a 97 accord. You can purchase a filter at any auto parts store, they are about $12.00. And yes the 1999 cr-v does have a filter, it is located on top…
