You don't have to REMOVE the tank, but you do have to loosen it to remove the pickup unit (that houses the filter). The fuel filter on my 2000 sebring CONVERTIBLE is tucked up next to the tank towards the passenger side rear wheel. I also was able to pick up the fuel filter from Advance Auto Parts for $25.00 Purolator Fuel Filter Part Number: F55302 In 2001 Chrysler did begin to put the fuel filters inside the gas tanks...I guess they wanted to make one more thing more difficult to access for us lay people.
