It is located by the rear axel. Easiest to see if you jack up the back end.AnswerIt's behind the tank tucked up close to the body. You'll have to get the rear of the car up in the air a ways to work on it. One side has a flared fitting but the other has a slip in plastic retainer. The retainer can be a pain to remove. You'll need a 3/4" and a 5/8" short open end wrench for the flare connection.
where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 Pontiac sunfire
In the fuel tank
Under the car by the fuel tank
next to the tank
it at the back of your gas tank
The fuel filter on a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire is in the rear between the fuel tank and the rear axle. By the way its under the car and easy to change takes about 10 minutes.
I know that on a '96 the fuel filter is an in-line type near the fuel tank. As Pontiac hasn't really altered much on the Sunfire in over ten years, I'd suggest starting there.
Near the gas tank. It's an in-line filter.
Follow the fuel lines forward to the engine from the fuel tank. Somewhere on the line you will find the fuel filter.
Try back near the fuel tank. if it is the same as my sunfire it is right behind the gas tank.
In the 2001 model year Sunfire, the fuel filter is located at the rear of the car, just behind the fuel tank about in the center of the car. Model years will vary, but it will be in the general area, with some years being forward of the fuel tank just off to the left side.
the fuel filter on a 2001 grand Am is behind the gas tank.
It is important to know the general location of the parts in a car. The 2001 Pontiac Sunfire fuel injector is located under the hood, right in front of the engine cover under the hood of the car.Ê
under the car right beside the gas tank
Perhaps a badly clogged fuel filter?
98 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2L is one it fits
No, not just because you ran out of gas but you should replace the fuel filter.
Fuel filter should be either along frame rail or in front of tank -- follow fuel lines Remove clamps and replace filter Make note of fuel flow direction on filter
The fuel filter, or the air filter? Are you looking for a part number? I'd check with my local parts store.FriPilot
Look under the car, just in front of the fuel tank on the passenger side.
probably fuel filter or a simple tune up
It's underneath the car in the rear. Look just ahead of the fuel tank on the passenger side.
Near the rear of the vehicle up near the gas tank; RELIEVE FUEL PRESSURE FIRST BEFORE REMOVING THE FILTER!!!
rear end of car over the rear axle support beam just rear of fuel tank
GM does not use inertia switches.
