I think in 1987 the fuel pump was still located on the front of the engine block next to the water pump and was actually driven by the cam gear. Follow the fuel line from the throttle body to see if it goes to a small space ship looking part on the front of the engine. If it is not there it is probably an electric pump located on the frame next to the main tank. Good luck.
Pumps... one in each tank.Answerthere isn't one. you will usually have a vaccum line insted of a pump
There are 2 tanks and both are 19 gallons.
Yes, 1 pump per tank.
Each fuel tank has a fuel pump inside them.
It has whatever size tanks it was ordered with. It could have dual 60 gallon tanks, dual 100 gallon tanks, dual 120 gallon tanks, dual 150 gallon tanks, etc.
On the 1987 Ford F150 with dual tanks the fuel filter mounted on the inside of the frame under the cab on the driver's side. Be sure you have the right tools to change the filter, and absolutely use eye protection. There will be fuel leakage, you do not want it in your eye.
Should be 19 gal for the front tank and 18.2 gal for the rear tank.
in the tanks
Most configurations had a 42 gal tank. There are some with dual 26 gallon tanks, and a few with single 26 gallon tanks. There may have been some other oprions also.
I need the wiring diagram on a 1986 Chevy silver ado dual fuel tanks
Yes.
i have a 1987 ford e-150 8-cyl w/ dual tanks, i think there's one in each tank but i know there's another one called the ''pony" pump along the frame rail (driver side) just in back of the driver door.
