the fuel pump is under the back seat, take out the seat and you will see a plate, un screw the 4 screws the you will see fuel pump under the plate. there are 6 or 7 screws on the pump so unscrew them en you hav your pump...
wait.. back up! with regards to 1999 Mazda 626, the tank and pump are indeed under the back seat. However you will have to remove the gas tank from under the car to get to the fuel pump. There is defiantly NOT an access plate under the back seat. that would be to easy! CMFWBIt's inside the gas tank...
