It should be in the right front passenger footwell , by the kick panel ( that's where it is on a Ford Explorer ) O.K. you got me ! - I forgot that the Mercury Mountaineer started with the 1997 model year

Mercury Mountaineer was created in 1997.
Where is the location of the EGR valve on a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer V*
No , a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer is not designed to have a third row seat ( the 2002 and newer Mercury Mountaineer were designed to have a third row seat )
The first model year of the Mercury Mountaineer was 1997
In my 1997 Mercury Mountaineer, the fuel pump reset button is found underneath the kick panel, on the passenger side. After you remove that kick panel, there is a little red (I believe) button that is facing down. Just press that. There was one time that I was driving down the street and my car just cut off, and come to find out, my passenger had knocked the wire out, but it was easy to pop right back in!! it is found in the glove compartment there should be a switch in there somewhere you could probably find it easily
The first model year for the Mercury Mountaineer SUV was ( 1997 )

If you have a 1997 to 1998 Mercury Mountaineer or Ford Explorer with a V8 engine, you will have a 4R70W transmission.
