If it's the same as the 1996 Ford Probe , it's in the hatch area - lift the carpet in the drivers rear area of the cargo area , you will see a rubber cap / plug , push the raised area of the plug in order to reset the fuel shut off switch
Yes. Be sure to change the neutral switch from your probe as the mazda's will plug in but is wired different.
o my
find fuel cut off switch
are you sure its fuel cut out? my probe would not start traced problem to electronics inside distributor had failed [common fault on probe]
A probe is a tool that is inserted into something to view or get information abour what is going on inside that object. A satellite that goes into deep space is an example of a probe.
In the trunk under the carpet on the left hand side there is the cut off switch. It is bacicly above the left rear tire
in the trunk. under the carpet, in the leftside quarterpanel
If you crimp the three wires running to the inertia switch together and remove the switch, it will close the circuit thus bypassing the swich. I have a 1993 Ford Probe SE that this has been done to and as of yet it has no direct or indirect complications from doing this. The oil pressure switch should be above the oil filter on the back of the engine on a 2.2L.
the Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch is located in the trunk. It is mounted under the luggage compartment floor cover at the back of the LH rear cargo storage compartment. The reset button must be pushed to reeet the IFS once it has been triggered. Basically it is behind the rear wheel well under the trunk mat close to the rear quarter panel. Good luck. Gus
