No , the fuse box is totally different in the 1997 and 2005 Mercury Mountaineer
The fuse box is below the instrument panel on the drivers side and the power distribution box ( which is " live " ) is in the engine compartment on the drivers side

According to my manual it is in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment and it is #14 fuse with number 10A. Hope this helps

Usually it is near the left kick panel behind the fuse box. Sometimes it is mounted on the right side of the vehicle.
The mountaineer has a fuse box under the drivers side dash ,and it has two horn fuses , right horn fuse ,and left horn fuse.
