The fuse for the brake lights is in the engine compartment fuse box, located behind the battery. Open the lid. Several fuses are marked but many are not. There is a group of 12 fuse sockets in the middle of the panel, arranged in 3 rows and 4 columns. The brake light fuse is in row 2, column 2. It powers left, right and middle brake lamps. If your brake switch fails in the ON position, you can pull this fuse until you can get a replacement switch. The drain of these lights being on can kill your battery overnight. Do not drive car without brake lights!Answerthe fuse panel is located behind the kick panel on the pass side, just below the dash.(to the right of where your feet sit in the floor board) there is also another power distribution panel under the hood next to the battery. Answerthere is no fuse marked brake lights on jeep cherokee's if you have no brake lights and all bulbs are good your problem is the brake switch mounted on your brake pedal, about 30 bucks.

the fuce for the brake lights is located in the kick panel, witch is also located on the drivers side left were your feet rest when you drive, also this is known as the fuse panel. you will need to remove the 3"x3"cover in order to get to it
The brake lights are accessed through the rear hatch. Find the panel on the rear sides of the car. Pop out the panel and access the brake lights. Replace the bulbs.

the fuse panel on my 98 is on the left end of the dash. open the door to see it. my brake lights stopped working but did not blow the fuse. had to change the brake switch located on the brake pedal. good luck
it is fuse number one in the interior fuse panel. it is a 15 amp fuse. should be located in the lower right corner of the fuse panel. the fuse panel itself is located under the left hand side of the instrument panel
Check fuse number 4 on the inside fuse panel, something made it blow though so expect it to go again until you find the reason.
The fuse for the brake lights on a 1996 Dakota is located in the fuse box on the driver's side dash. Open the driver's door to access the panel covering the fuse box. The brake light fuse is at location 19/20 in this fuse box.
you open the truck or hatch and there should be a panel that comes off and u take it off and twist the light out change the bulb and place the light back in and put the panel back on the panel should be located on the inside of where the brake light is at

The brake light switch is located near the top of the brake pedal. When the pedal is depressed the switch is activated and sends current to the brake lights. To access the switch, the under dash panel needs to be removed.

Depends on the year; my 89 dash panel comes out with screws and the bulbs are twisted in to the backside of the panel. :]
It's under a panel door that says FUSES on it that's under the dash over the brake pedal.

The inside fuse box is located in the glove box,pull out the front panel piece on the right side of the glove box and you will see the fuse panel.

Try changing the brake light switch (located on the brake pedal, by the steering column) under the dash.
Check for a blown brake light fuse ( in the fuse panel ) or the brake light switch at the brake pedal could be the problem. The brake light switch releases the shifter lock as well as operating the brake lights.
Check the fuses and the bulbs.
If the " BRAKE " warning light in your gauge panel is on , either your parking / emergency brake is on and if not , YOUR BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS LOW in the brake master cylinder located in your engine compartment
