The question you ask is tooinvolved for a proper answer. You may want to go to a car parts store, or book store, andget a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00Or, go to a Public Library.AnswerIts true, that removal of the core is a detailed process. However, identifying the location of it, is not, you can see the 2 black heater hoses coming through the firewall in the engine compartment, this will give you the approx position of the heater core inside the vehicle, it will be about center of the passenger compartment, behind your climate/radio control covers..
The core itself is located inside the "heater case", You have to remove the heater case assembly then separate it into its halves and theres your core.
The process of removing the heater case is quite detailed because you have to remove the instrument panel assembly, the evaporator case -if AC equipped. If not, then the blower motor to heater case and ducting are to be removed. Then the temperature control cable and mode control cables are removed, heater case screws and heater case.
This isn't a detailed & exact removal procedure of all components involved, it is however, to give you an idea of what is involved. I'd suggest getting your hands on a manual to help you in removing the core assuming this is your intention, I have a factory manual w\ all procedures involved but I'm only able to paraphrase and there is wayyyy too much involved to do all of it.
