open the bonnet, alloy part bolted to the R/H side of engine is the inlet manifold. NOTE: IF you need to ask this question do not attempt any maintenence yourself.
assuming it's the 4 litre. yes it is. hard to change on the ground. easy to get from under the car.

The 97 Ford Explorer thermostat is located inside of the engine inlet. The inlet is where the top radiator hose connects to the engine.
I have a 97 Ford Club Wagon van. there is anti-freeze leaking from the manifold right above the gasket ( it look like the circle imprint on the manifold. How can this be fix?
It's the fuel rail that feeds gas to the injectors.

There should be 2 1 in the exhust manifold and 1 after the cat converter

i had the problem with my 97 f150, the power wire to the computer had melted on the manifold and had to be replaced, check the wire to see if its grounding out
