im pretty sure every northstar has the starter located under the intake plenum in the lifter valley between the heads. youll have to take off the intake to see it, it pokes through the flywheel cover at the top of the transmission. hope this helps.
The starter on the Northstar is located under the intake manifold, not an easy repair by any means.
The starter is under the air intake manifold on the top of the engine, which is known as the valley. You must remove the cowl, fuel rail and intake manifold to access it.

I don't believe there are any 93's with the northstar engine. If there are the answer is no, the location is different. Starter is under the intake manifold on Northstar and it is in the front of the engine under the exhaust maniold on the 4.9 litre engine

I'm not positive,but I own a 1994 ElDorado with the Northstar engine,and when my starter went out I read in the factory service manual that it was located underneath the intake manifold,between the two cylinder banks.It wasn't as difficult as it looked at first.
