For the 2002 Solara 4 cyl, 16 valve the oil filter is locate just in front (towards the front of the car) of the oil pan. There is an indentation in the oil pan of a slightly larger diameter than the oil filter. The previous answer is incorrect, the oilfilter is between the oil pan and the engine. A real pain to find.

You'll need to jack up the car to get to the oil filter.

no matter v6 or 4cyl. the oil filter is located under the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine near the radiator loosens by turning to the left.tightens the opposite

In the fuel pump assembly located in the fuel tank. Not a required maintenance item. Member of Toyota Nation forum said recently that filter is sold separately. About $50.00

STP's part number is S3614. This oil filter fits a 2006 Toyota Solara (6 cyl) and other similar years of Toyota.

You don't. There is no cabin air filter on the Gen I Solara. The interior air filter appeared on the 2004 (gen II) and later Solara. Cheers
