If its a 1.9cdti Ive just done mine and if you go from underneath its a black plastic cannister which needs a 32mm spanner to undo it. Its an element filter so its inside this plastic cannister, which has like a serratted edge next to where it meets the oil filter housing. It sits approximately half way of the engine width at the bottom of the engine, but you can only access it from the bottom and I removed the plastic shield at the bottom completely to make access easier.
