I'm not a mechanic / technician but I BELIEVE the oil pressure
sending unit on the Ford 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine is on the
front of the engine ( in the area where the lower radiator hose
connects to the water pump )
On a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport , 4.0 liter SOHC : No , " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane is recommended
On a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport : If it has the 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ( which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine ) The oil pressure sending unit for the gauge is below the power steering pump on the drivers side of the engine I believe on the 4.0 SOHC version it is on the front of the engine in the area where the lower radiator hose connects to the water pump
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe the oil pressure sending unit on the 4.0 liter SOHC is on the front of the engine near the lower rad hose
On the 4.0 L OHV engine, it is located on the driver's side of the engine below the power steering pump. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the 4.0 liter SOHC engine I believe the oil pressure sending unit is on the front of the engine near the lower radiator hose area
