Where is the oil sending unit locatt ed on a 1993 ranger v6?
On passenger side, somewhat below the distributor. You can ret two fingers on it to pull the one wire off, from above. You (read I) can't get the socket over it to extract it, nor do I see how you would ever get a new one started to thread in, because you can't see the hole and you have so little room for your hand.
On my next attempt, I will try to get it through the wheel well. I can find no information pertinent to my 93 on any of these posts, and I have spent hours looking.
There should be a grey plug just under the master cylinder disconnect it and turn on the ignition if the gauge reads full the problem is the sending unit in the tank (thats if the gauge was reading empty before).
