The engine coolant reservoir has a thread on cap which is the "radiator " cap
for the 4 cylinder engine
where is the number 3 cylinder located on a 2.5 ford ranger engine
On a 2003 Ford Ranger : Since you are asking this question I assume you have the 2.3L Dual Over Head Cam four cylinder engine . In this case the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is your pressure cap / radiator cap The 3.0L and 4.0L V6 engines have the radiator cap on top of the radiator
follow the top radiator hose to the engine, remove it then remove the thermostat housing, remove the thermostat and replace it
On my Dad's 1992 XLT Ranger I just followed the upper radiator hose to the enginge. It is the 2.3 Liter. It is on the front of the engine. My 1978 Chevy 350 it is also found by following the upper to the top of the block. Start there or cheat & go to parts store when buying the new one & ask. Sometimes they will help out. In the Haynes Ford Ranger repair manual, it gives two locations, both located by following the upper radiator hose as noted above. On the 4 cylinder engine, it's located on the front of the engine block. On the 6 cylinder engine, it's located near the front of the intake manifold.
where is the PVC valve located on a 1990 ford ranger 2.3 L
Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. It's in the housing on the engine.
On a 2003 Ford Ranger : The 2.3 litre four cylinder engine has a thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir , that is the pressure cap / radiator cap ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the 3.0 and 4.0 litre V6 engines , I believe there is a radiator cap on the top of the radiator , but with the engine cool you should add engine coolant to the engine coolant reservoir - it has a cold fill mark
Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
follow the top radiator hose to the engine, the thermostat is located in the housing that that end of the hose is connected to
where is the valve located on the 2002 ranger 4.0 liter 6 cyl?
follow the upper radiator hose back to the engine, and you will find the thermostat housing which is held onto the cylinder head by 2 bolts. The T-stat is located uder the t-stat housing.
On a 1995 Ford Ranger : I know on the 4.0 liter EFI engine , you follow the top radiator hose from the radiator . It connects to a metal pipe which is part of the engine cooling thermostat housing that is bolted to the front of the engine . The thermostat is inside the housing
