Look at the bottom or rear side of the radiator or remove the lower hose
There are no drain plugs on a Lacrosse's radiator. GM stopped them after 2003 model year. To drain the radiator, you'll need to remove the lower radiator hose.
Open the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator on the Cavalier if the plug is there. If the radiator is the model that does not have the plug, then the bottom hose needs to be removed to drain the coolant.
bottom of radiator on right side facing engine
In a 2002 trailblazer it is located on the bottom of the radiator one the passenger side. Every other model year to my knowlege does not have drain plug.
i want to know too, i have a 1500 model
Drain plug is on the PAssanger side opf the radiator, but you will need to remove the under engine paneling in order to access it.
To change the coolant in an AU Ford Falcon 2001 model, open the radiator drain plug and add warm tap water once all coolant stops coming out. Again drain the radiator and add the coolant.
The plug should be beside of the bottom radiator hose, and screws out. If you have the model without the plug then the bottom radiator hose has to be removed to allow the coolant to drain.
For the 4.7 model, if you follow the power steering line into the front radiator near the bumper you will see the (peacock sp?). Be very careful and turn it to drain the radiator. I think 11/16's is the ratchet adapter you need. I did mine today and it didnt drain very much, maybe mines is clogged or had to do with pressure.
It is on the bottom of the radiator; they are plastic and the same color as the rad so they blend in to the radiator. You may need to remove the fan shroud to get at it. Sometime it's easier to remove one end off of the lower radiator hose to drain the system.
Some of the late model trucks do not have a drain. If your truck has one,it will be on the drivers side on the bottom. If you find o hole with no drain, then you dont have one.
Great innovation!! The did not install the plug in the OE model. You will have to pay extra at a service center to get the radiator plug installed. It cost about $5.89 at NAPA and the service charge will be the cost of removing and installing a radiator!
