There is no reset button. Cars built since 1996 have an OBD-II diagnostic connector. Connecting a code scanner will let you read out the reason why the SES light is on, and also to reset it. Alternatively, in most cars, you can reset the SES by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes.
The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to a parts store or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.
it should be in the trunk, you will see a hole in the rear trunk panel where the rest button is located.
I believe it's behind the radio/console area
usually in the trunk, some are in the passenger right side kick panel. some galants do not even have one.Ex. 1995 galant s does not have one.
Haha, I was just struggling with this in my Mitsubishi Galant... If it's like mine you just have to *hold* the minutes or hours button and it will start progressing.Hope this'll help!
You can reset your engine service light by holding in the scroll button. Hold the button in until the engine oil life goes to 100 percent. The engine service light will go off.
If you are referring to the reset button inside of the fuse compartment then the answer to your question is that pushing that reset button is not meant to clear the service engine soon message. That reset button is what you would press after changing the oil (after the change oil message comes on to the left of the tachometer)... If your service engine soon message is on consistently then chances are you may have a problem with some part of your emission system.
Go to the engine oil life display. Hold the display button in until the engine oil life reads 100 percent. Release the button and the service light will go off.
You are going to have to have a line in jack that connects to your mp3's hole were you put the headphones. There will usually be a place in the car that says "line in" plug the other peice into the "line in" hole in the car. There will be a button that says AUX usually by your radio push that. Then it will usually play. Unless the Galant does not have a "line in" hole
Reset button for what? If you are talking about the check engine light, there is no reset button. Unhook the battery for 5 minutes and see if that resets it. If not, then it can be reset with a scanner. Of course it will come right back on if the problem is not corrected.
Start the engine. Then press the C/T button . Then tab the the computers setup with the step button until you see 0 miles to service. After you see that, you just simply press the reset button, and the 0 miles to service, should change to 3,000 miles to service.
once the engine is running, press the information button until it says "service due", then keep the button pressed. "service due" will now flash, keep the button pressed, then the new "miles to next service" will be shown, release the button and it's now reset. hope this helps I tried this on an 05 megane and it did not work.In additon you must press a small button next to 150mph on the speedo until it blinks and cleers instead of keeping the button pressed. good luck
The Mitsubishi Galant has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See Sources and Related Links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.
You need to hold the CD button down for 5 seconds.
If it is a stock radio, turn the car radio off to where no sound is coming from it but the clock is illuminated. Press the "clock" button and hold until the time starts blinking. On your station preset buttons at the bottom of your radio, button 5 has an "H" on it and button 6 has an "M" on it. Press button 5 until the correct hour displays then button 6 until your clock reflects the current time. Finally, press the clock button to allow the radio to accept the changes.
What worked for my Espace IV was: With keycard in and engine off: Push the button on the end of the control stalk until the 'Service now due' shows in the display. Push and hold the button. After a while the 'Service now due' starts to flash. Keep the button held in. After a while the display changes to 'Service in 18,000 miles' and flashes. At this point let go of the button. Job done. Charles.
This info is listed in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one, or call Mitsubishi. You can get an owner's manual at the dealer or possibly find one at a salvage yard. Hold the button for a few seconds until the light blinks, aim your opener at the button and close the door, and then let the car's button go. It should then be programmed.
Turn the engine off with the key in the the accessory position so you can see the info display. Press the info button until the Oil Change info is shown. Hold down the info button and it will ask to 'clear', press the info button again. Done!
