If it was manufactured prior to 1968 it probably doesn't have one. If it was made later, it should be someplace obvious on the bottom or side of the receiver. Try looking on the left side of the barrel, right under the model and cal. If it has one, it will be located there. The serial number may be located under the butt plate on the stock. I found mine there with a symbol I still cannot identify. The Model 25 has no serial number. It was made before serial numbers were required on .22 rifles

The Sears Roebuck Model 20 12 gauge shotgun, serial number 5832006 is valued at $200 in very good condition. It good condition, it is valued at $125.
It depends on the the number of barrels, year, model, condition and serial number.
The number you are referring to is not the serial number. That number is the catalog number for Sears & Roebuck. The serial number is on the bottom of the rifle. V147XXX (example). These guns are essentially a Winchester 94 made for Sears & Roebuck Company produced between 1964 through 1978. There are no records available to confirm the exact year it was produced. Hope this helps.
Exact year cannot be determined from data given. 583.91 is not a serial number, but a Sears model number.
This model was made by Daisy. Its a model 1894 and shoots standard .177 caliber BBs'
Check the receiver and barrel.
Tell us a little more. Sears sold a lot of different shotguns and a serial number will not identify it.
