The starter cable for the 99 Blazer is connected to the battery cable below the battery tray.
A plastic box encloses a fuse that connects that battery cable to the starter cable and the chassis power.
It is mounted on top of the starter, to the starter. Follow the positive battery cable from the battery, it will lead you right to it.
It is attached to the starter. The positive battery cable runs directly to it.

Remove the positive battery cable from your 1997 Chevy Blazer battery. Remove the cables from the front of your starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
Remove the positive battery cable from your 1987 Chevrolet Blazer battery. Remove the starter cables from the front of the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
It is attached to the starter, just follow the positive battery cable from the battery, it will lead you to the starter solenoid.

Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery, remove the two bolts from the starter, drop the starter enough to disconnect the wires from it and remove the starter from the engine.
Follow the positive battery cable from the battery down, the other end will be attached to the starter.

Disconnect the battery cable. Remove the bolts that hold the starter in place. Disconnect the wires. Instahlation is in reverse.
