Where is the starter located in a 2002 Ford Taurus?

It's nearly impossible to see from the top so don't bother opening the hood unless the sun is at the exact right angle allowing for a little trickle of light to help you see it while flat on your back in your new suit on the way to a job interview. Fortunately it's very easy to find with the car flat on the ground. If you slide under the front of the car you'll see it right smack in the middle (side to side) and right up front. It's a cylindrical part about the size of a small loaf of bread and runs horizontal to the moving path of the car. At least this is where it's located in a '94 Taurus wagon. Stefan
