The starter is on the bottom and just about in the middle of the car about two feet back from the front of the car,mounted at the engine/transmission connection.To replace it you will need to disconnect the battery and jack up the front of the car about 8-10 inches.
To remove the starter simply remove the positive cable from the screw post on the starter coil,remove the plug in connector located right next to it(pull straight out) and remove the two screws from the back of the starter unit,that's it.Installation is the reverse Ern
