The sunroof motor is in the headliner, above the motor switch You have to remove the sunvisors and pull down the headliner to see it

It appears so, since The Sunroof Doctor has a replacement motor that will fit 1996- 2002 SL models Sunroof Motor 1997-2002 Saturn SC (2 & 3 Door) 1996-2002 Saturn SL (4 Door) Special! If you lower the front of the headliner you can turn the motor manually with a large flat screwdriver, Other than that you need to remove the glasss and you can manually force the tracks closed

Just a suggestion but maybe the track is dirty and needs to be cleaned with the satun sc series, the sunroof is moved by 2 plastic arms, over time they get brittle and break (it should have had that as a recall) but most power windows are the same way you will more then likely have to go online and order a pair (there is a company who makes them out of aluminum that are really nice and fairly cheep about 1 hour to fix

There is no odometer cable. The odometer is controlled electronically via the vehicle speed sensor reading. The PCM converts this into an electrical signal and sends the signal to a drive motor located right behind your cluster face.

4 Quarts of 5W-30 or 10W-30 including the oil filter.

The computer with input from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

There is no camshaft sensor on the engine. Your reading a generic code.

in your manual it says to do a reset by turning the knob to close and push it in for 5 seconds. if that doesnt work check your fuses. there are 2 #15 and #twenty something mabe 23. if that doesnt work replace the sunroof motor

no i don't think you can. for sure not on 4 drs SL, but maybe on a 2 dr sc because the body style changed in 97

theres 2 fuse panels 1 under the hood and the 2nd on the passenger beside the radio

Here is what the shop manual says. 1. Drop the head liner. 2. Disconnect teleflex cable end from sunroof. 3. Press sunroof button to "open" to disengage cable from motor gearbox. 4. Remove cover in trunk on LH side and disconnect motor wires. 5. Disconnect teleflex tube. 6. Remove unit. If the cable is frozen you have to disassemble the gearbox on the motor assembly. If the motor is dead you can manually open and close the roof from the motor assembly. As a side note you may be able to disconnect the teleflex tube at the motor and just run the roof open to disengage the cable from the gearbox. This would keep you from having to remove the head liner. I have not tried this but I would try is first Hope this helps.

You've probably found your answer by now, but on my '01 SC-2, it's behind the glovebox door, mounted on the inside firewall.

I have a 1995 Toyota corolla with a special package added on to the dealer. It came with a add-on sun roof which was powered by a sued motor that had two wires running to it. A blue and a red wire. I am looking for a replacement for this motor which is how I can across your question. Jack.

you pull down the motor cover over the back seat (pull down the front first) remove the 2 screws on the side, remove the motor. Put a pair of vise grips and turn

You do not need to add a sealant to the gasket. Just make sure you torque the bolts to factory specs.

there are 2 sensors 1 is in the exhaust manifold at the very front with 1 wire coming out of it and one behind the catalytic converter with 4 wires

1 3 4 2 is the firing order the coil pack should go from left to right 4 1 2 3

There is no "motor" on a stock 93 3000GT (or Stealth) sunroof. The stock sunroof is a manual removable glass roof with a hand-crank regulator that cranks the glass up about 2-3 inches, then you have the option of removing and storing it in the hatch. The only repair is the either replace the crank regulator unit, or 3SX now offers a replacement gear set to replace the plastic gears inside the regulator - if it no longer cranks up, odds are the plastic gears are stripped. http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=30276

If you see no spark from one coild tower to the other, replace your cps. This sensor (crankshaft position sensor) controls the ignition module

I pulled my hair out on this when it happened to me, I replaced the gasket, poured draino in the gutter and finally wound up taking it to the shop where they used an air gun to blow out the gutter drains. Look at the bottom of your car about 2 inches in from the door you will see what is called the pinch weld for the uni-body. This pinch weld is where the sunroof gutters drain to, 4 total, one on each corner of the sunroof. If one of these is damaged you will have to straighten it out as best you can to allow the water to drain properly. Good luck
