the temp sensor is on the thermostadt but it doesnt control the rad fan. you're thinking about the rad fan switch which is in one of the fenders by the firewall or right on the rad support.
The engine temperature sensor is located next to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. The computer uses that sensor to decide when to actuate the radiator fan relays and turn the fans on.The engine temperature sensor is located next to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. There is a sensor right where the upper radiator hose goes into the engine.
The Chevrolet Corsica 3.1 liter engine crank sensor can be found on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crank sensor.
Follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator to the back of the engine. Where it connects to the engine, you will see wires plugged in to the sensor

Not in the water pump! It is located somewhere near where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine. You may see a sensor and wires attached at the same point. Look around and you will find it. I will be located under some sort of dome shaped cover. There's no such thing as a 1998 Corsica. 1996 was the last model year.
on mine i just changed the o2 sensor located in the front by fan
The coolant temp sensor is the two wire sensor located near to where the upper radiator hose hooks to the engine.
The engine computer uses the engine coolant temperature sensor to decide when to run the electric radiator fan. It is located very near where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
The coolant temperature sensor is screwed into the engine, behind where the upper radiator hose attaches. That is the main sensor the computer uses to run the radiator fans.
