Where is the thermostat and how do you replace it located on a Volvo 850?

Typically on the top of the engine block or just where the top radiator hose connects to the engine block. on the Volvo 840 the thermostat comes with a rubber seal, the housing requires NO CLEANING other then BEFORE dismantling the housing. simply drop the new thermostat in place with the little pressure bleed valve to the fron of the engine housing, replace the housing. again NO SEALant IS REQUIRED AS THE SEAL DOES THE TOTAL JOB.

takes about 10 minutes if you give the job to a chimp, 5 if you do it yourself

the relay is located within the hazzard flasher switch. If faulty replace flasher switch and it will sort out the problem

There's no Volvo 850 2000. What you likely saw was a S70.

Yes the c70 was in production from 1997 to 2000 after the 840

To replace the rear brakes on a Volvo 850 you must first remove the old brakes. Then connect all of the wirings to the new brakes including the brake fluid line and the connection for the brake pads.

It is a T40. To remove the housing you first have to remove the power steering pump.
