Where is the thermostat located on a 1994 Nissan truck?
I just did the thermostat on my '94 SE-V6, and the thermostat is where the lower radiator hose contacts the block (on most cars and trucks they seem to be on the upper hose). You have to do a little bit of digging to get to it: i.e. taking off the pulley bracket and a few wires, the fan shroud, and most likely the upper radiator hose as well. It kindof sucks. Good luck.
1994 Ford diesel engine 450 dump truck I am trying to change the thermostat but can't find where is it located on this dump truck I have no heat?
thermostat will be located where upper radiator hose goes to engine.there will be 2 or 3 bolts holding that housing to engine.remove those bolts and housing and thats where thermostat should be.PS; thermostat has probably been removed previoulsy to fix engine heating problem, but that woud not stop heater from working
ON A FOUR CYLINDER TRUCK,IF YOURE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE LOOKING AT THE ENGINE, THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING IS ON THE LEFT SIDE IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THERE ARE 2 BOLTS ON THE HOUSING. JUST FOLLOW THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE AND THE HOUSING TURNS STRAIGHT DOWN INTO THE INTAKE. on a 4 cylinder truck, Follow the top Radiator Hose. the stat housing is at the end of the engine side of that hose. Nissan does not install a gasket between the tstat housing and the tstat cover for this application. Use the appropriate liquid gasket sealant instead. The thermostat is located at the front of the engine, behind the water inlet from the lower radiator hose. It should not be confused with the water control valve in the water outlet housing that is located at the rear of engine..
Follow your top radiater hose to intake manifold, theres 2 screws holdind the thermostat cover on,drain some of your antifreeze first, then remove cover, pay attention how the thermostat is in there so you can put new one in,also put thermostat in 180 degree hot water to make sure it opens and closes after you take out of water.
Its one that is in the middle of the timing belt cover, so under neath the upper part its located in a silver pipe that has a triangle joint. To replace it you would have to remove the fan cover, and the fan, and a couple of belts and u should go on from there to remove the 3 screws on the triangle like pipe and inside is ur thermostat
