Where the UPPER Radiator hose connectes to the engine there is an outlet(gooseneck) with (usally) 2 bolts- IT is under that & the NEW one HAS 2 b put in the CORRECT way-IF put in Backwards(if possible) The motor will B toast.use a new gasket or O-Ring. Follow the large top rad hose to the engine. The hose connection will be bolted on the engine and the thermostat will be located below this connection. Drain the coolant out of the system and undo the bolts. gently pry off the connection and remove/replace the thermostat. If you can, take the thermostat in to the parts store to check against the new one. A lower temp. thermostat will open quicker allowing faster cooling. Usually used for summer.
