FOLLOW THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE TO WHERE IT MEETS THE ENGINE..GOOD LUCK ITS A PAIN TO DO!!

The thermostat is located just under the exhaust manifold you will see that a metal pipe leads from the water pump to the thermostat housing is, you have to remove two screws from where this pipe meets the housing and it is a pain to do unless you remove the exhaust manifold or have small hands.

The thermostat on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2L L4 Ecotec is replaced by removing the upper radiator hose and unbolting the thermostat housing. The thermostat can then be removed, a new gasket installed, and the replacement thermostat put in place.

Rims and tires from a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am will fit on a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. They have the same lug nut pattern.
