Manual transmissions do not have a dipstick. There is a fill plug on the passenger side of the transaxle just above and behind where the axle goes into the transmission. Remove the plug. If fluid runs outor you stick your finger in the hole and feel fluid just below the bottom edge of the hole then it is full. If it is low add 30 weight motor oil or 90 weight gear oil till it runs out of thr hole then replace the plug.
I it is a manual transmission it has no dipstick. If it is A/T it is located on the front of the transmission near the engine block. It is very small and has no tube. Look carefully.
It is hard to find. Look where the engine bolts to the transmission.
The dipstick for the 2004 Honda Accord is located beside of the battery. A funnel is needed to reach the tube to add fluid.
If it is an Automatic just open the hood and look down at where the transmission bolts to the engine. There you will see the dipstick.
On the passenger side under the battery
Please see and earlier question and answer re: Where is the transmission dipstick on 1990 Honda Accord LX. It may answer your question. By the way, answer is: The dipstick is located at front of transmission, next to the engine block. There is NO TUBE and the dipstick is small - look crefully! Hank.
No, they are not interchangable.
If it is an automatic the dipstick is on left side of engine bay, down on side of trans closest to you, a little hard to see.
its gon be at the front bottom part of the engine its a yellow handle
in the dipstick hole
Propping the hood of a 1989 Honda Accord will allow driver to see the whole engine bay. The transmission is on the left and sticking upwards from it's housing will be the dipstick.
Honda transmission dipsticks are usually yellow. Oil sticks orange
If it is an A/T it is located near the engine on the front side of the transmission. If it is a manual it has no dipstick. It must be put on a rack and the fluid level checked on the upper side of the tranny.
The 1996 Honda Accord transmission has a fluid capacity of 5.3 quarts. You can check the transmission fluid level with the transmission fluid dipstick.
In the same area where you check the level - where the dipstick goes!! get a funnel and pour away.
Transmission fluid can be poured through the engine compartment on a Honda Accord. There is a dipstick and reservoir where the fluid can safely be placed.
Under the battery tray yellow handle.
The transmission filter is located inside the transmission.
At the transmission. Look on the right side of the engine down low on the transmission and you will see the dipstick.
If your car is 5-speed, there is no dip stick. The fill plug is the check on them. Unsure where there's one on an automatic.
To check the transmission fluid on the 1995 Honda Accord, just let the vehicle idle for a few moments on level ground. Then remove the dipstick and wipe it clean. Insert the dipstick and remove it again. This will be the fluid level.
look for the yellow dipstick in front of the intake snorkel.
If it is an automatic--through the dipstick tube If it is Standard through fill plug at side of transmission
Just behind center of the front bumper way down toward the bottom of the car, you will find a dipstick that un-screws. You really have to look but it's there. (It is about 1 1/2" in diameter.)
The type ofATF is usuaaly stamped somewhere on the dipstick. Mine takes Dexron and it is stamped on the head of the dipstick. I had to clean it to read it though.
