For a 1994 Ford F-150 :
The AUTOMATIC Transmission Fluid level dipstick is in the engine compartment ,
near the firewall , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment ,
where the transmission is bolted to the rear of the engine
* the manual transmission does not have a dipstick
The manual transmission doesn't have a dipstick , the fluid level is checked at the fill plug on the transmission
The Transmission Dipstick is located on the Passengers side near the firewall in the engine compartment.

I cannot find the transmission lipstick on my 1998 F-150 with a manual transmission.
The manual transmission doesn't have a dipstick , there will be a fill plug on the transmission underneath the vehicle

The transmission dipstick is located at the area close to the firewall on the left or passenger side of the vehicle in the engine compartment. The dipstick is used to check the level of transmission fluid in the vehicle.
