the transmission filter is in the transmission sump located under the gearbox. it is a flat panel type filter you best bet to buy a new one is to go to Chevrolet. they should be changed every 30'000 miles it is not a job for the diy'er as it needs to be changed in a clean environment as any dirt will destroy the transmission. and any mistake you make will also kill it as you get no second chances.

You have to take it to a mechanic i guess since it doesn't have a dipstick.
I have a 2000 Daewoo Nubira and I had the control arm replaced and it fixed the problem.
