I have a 93' escort GT and the voltage regulator is actually part of the alternator (all one piece). I had to replace the whole thing. But if yours is a 2 piece, it would be bolted on the outside of the alernator.
The voltage regulator, on your 1995 Ford escort 1.9 liter, is located on top of the alternator. The voltage regulator is attached to the alternator by four retaining screws.
It is part of the alternator.
The voltage regulater is in side the alternater.
Attached to the Alternator (1.9L)
It's on the back of the alternator
The voltage regulator on all Escorts is inside the alternator. It is an integral part of the alternator and the alternator has to be replaced to fix it.
Inside the alternator.
No there is not. The only located on the alternator is the voltage regulator.
Could be internal short or defective voltage regulator (points not opening) located in alternator
A bad voltage regulator can cause an overcharging condition. Check the wires going to the regulator for corrosion and make sure the regulator has a good ground.
The voltage regulator is in the alternator.
