Zinc was found by mistake. It's the German word for zink. And it was found in Greece.

Andreas Sigismund Marggraf rediscovered Zinc in India in 1746.

you can find zinc in used dry batteries.first remove the steel cover and there you have a zinc can. remove all inside the can and then you have a zinc can.
