Where are the timing marks on the cam and the crank located on a Toyota Camry 4cl 2.2?
The crankshaft itself has no marks, the crankshaft pulley has one, it's white color. The same is true for the camshaft, it has no marks. But the camshaft pulley has a hole in it. That hole must alighed with the mark behind the pulley and the crankshaft should alighed with its own mark and the camshaft in the same time.
Where does the timing gear marks line up on a 1998 Chevy pickup 350 Do they line up ever revolution or can they be 180 off?
The camshaft turns at half the speed of the crankshaft. If you count the gears, you should find that there are twice as many on the camshaft. If you line up the marks at TDC, then turn the crankshaft 360 Degrees, you should find that the camshaft has turned 180 degrees. So, every time the crankshaft turns back around to TDC, the camshaft will turn 180 degrees and if that's what your're seeing, then everything is normal.

If you replaced the camshaft position sensor should you replace the crankshaft position?
Where are the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft of a 96 Cavalier?
The timing marks are dots on the ends of the camshaft and crankshaft. They are on the sprocket ends where the timing belt or chain connects. The dots should be pointing towards each other for proper setting. The cam dot should be pointing down and the crankshaft dot pointing up. The dots or marks can only be viewed when the timing chain cover is removed. hope this helps...

How do you Change Timing gears on a Chevy 2.5 Iron Duke?
Does the 1991 2.5 s10 have a timing chain or a belt or just mesh gears and how do you replace them The camshaft is gear driven off the crankshaft. The camshaft gear is pressed onto the camshaft. The camshaft must be removed from the engine to change the camshaft timing gear. The timing gears should last the life of the engine. Next time, please don't answer your question with another question.

When is the engines oil pump in use?
As soon as the engine starts turning over, and it works until you turn the engine off. Clarification The oil pump is driven directly off the camshaft or the crankshaft (depending on the manufacturer), and whenever the engine is running, the oil pump pulls oil out of the crankcase and sends pressurized oil through the oil "journals" of the engine. All of the rods, mains and camshaft bearings float on a thin film of pressurized oil. Technically, none of those bearings should ever come in contact with the metal of the crankshaft or camshaft. If the oil pump STOPS functioning while the engine is running, the bearings mentioned will come in contact with the crankshaft and/or camshaft, and deteriorate and fail in a short time.

Where is the camshaft sensor on a 95 Dakota 5.2 v8?
I don't think that there is a camshaft sensor on this engine. There is however, a crankshaft sensor that is located on the passenger side of the bellhousing where it meets the engine. It should be just to the passenger side of the distributor. There is s sensor in the distributor that does the same job as a cam sensor.

Where are the timing marks for a 1999 Mazda 626 4 cylinder dohc?
When you say 'Timing Marks', there are several places on this engine that has various marks in regards to the Harmonic Balance, Camshaft sprockets, crankshaft, and timing cover. If you are checking the timing, you will use the marks on the timing cover. If you are setting or replacing the timing belt, you will want to use the camshaft sprockets in relation to the crankshaft/harmonic Balance. On this year, the crankshaft key notch should be 12'oclock and the sprockets should have the timing marks 'E' for exhaust and 'I' for intake aligned facing with the 'E' at 3'oclock and the 'I' at 9'oclock. Hope this helps. AJ
What are the timing marks for a 1991 19 ford escort?
I have a 1990 escort lx so there shouldn't be any difference. If you look at the crankshaft or (dampner) pulley you should see a small groove in the front edge which almost looks like it's been notched with a hack saw. This mark should line up with the top dead center marking on the timing belt cover .then you need to set the camshaft marker which is a small point inside on of the holes on the camshaft timimg pulley. This point needs to line up with a small dimple or what looks like a punch marked on the head behind the pulley. Once these two marks are positioned correctly you should be ready to install the timimg belt. but be sure to check that your distributor rotor is set on the #1 position if not you will have to remove your distributor and rotate it a half turn and reinstall it.

Where are the timing marks on 97 Toyota Camry?
It depends on the kind of engine you have (V6 vs I4). On I4 there 3 marks have to be aligned. One is on the crankshaft pulley and it corresponds to top dead point and two are other are behind the camshaft gears. When all of them are aligned properly you should have see two marks through holes of camshaft gears plus the crankshaft pulley must be at the top dead point (or what ever it's called).
How to time a 1990 Toyota v6 pick up?
In order to do this properly, you need the correct tools as well as an owner's manual and a repair manual for diagrams that show the relevant parts and their names, ignition marks and so on. The manual is also necessary in order to understand some of the terms named here. You should prepare well for this job in order to avoid mistakes which could be serious. Procedure: The engine should be cold. Use the crankshaft pulley bolt to turn the crankshaft and align the timing marks on the crankshaft timing pulley and on the oil pump body. Remove any oil or water on the crankshaft timing pulley, idler pulley and water pump pulley, and keep them clean. Align the installation mark on the timing belt with the drilled mark of the crankshaft timing pulley. Install the timing belt on the crankshaft timing pulley, also on idler and water pump pulleys. Crankshaft Position: Turn the crankshaft pulley, and align its groove with the
