Where to I find the timing belt schematic for a 1989 Chrysler new yorker?
The valves on all engines in a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker are not adjustable. The hydraulic lifters are self adjusting.
3.0l it is inside the passenger side of the engine driven by the timing belt. 3.3l it is on the lower front passenger side of the engine.
What would make a 1989 chrysler new yorker not want to start with out turning the distributor and still it will only go for a little while then stop again and will not start back?

Your 89 New Yorker has a peice of trim at the bottom the tail light, in that small piece of trim is a screw. Take that screw out and you can get to the rest of the screws that hold the tail light assembly in place, Oh yes most important you must have the trunk lid raised so you can get to the wiring harness.
