East Pakistan or Eastern Bengal (Urdu:Ù�Ø´Ø±Ù�Û� Ù¾Ø§Ú©Ø³ØªØ§Ù�) was a country located in South Asia between the Republic of India also known as Bharat, and Burma in South-east Asia to the east. It has a 710 kilometre (441 mile) coastline along the Bay of Bengal to the south. The region now forming the modern state of Bangladesh. Dacca was the provincial and legislative capital of Pakistan.
