The curry puff originated in the area around Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. It is possibly an original take on the Cornish pasty.
Firstly the best Cornish pasty must always be made in Cornwall that why it is called a Cornish pasty. Secondly it must be made with Cornish ingredients which includes skirt beef (skirt is a type of steak). Thirdly the ingredients must be put in the pastry in the right order: sliced potatoes, chopped swede/turnip, cut beef and chopped onions last. Lastly it must be crimped well so none of its insides fall out.
