They are especially well known in third world countries like Vietnam, China, Korea, etc. When they discontinued sale of the Street motorcycle in India, the service and spares continued to flow in for the next 5 years as per the understanding given by the company to the buying public. The Hero Honda Street is a long life vehicle if used carefully; so the 5 years extra too flew by and then.... the dealers refused to take the bike for servicing; citing the reason that no spares were forthcoming from the company in Gurgaon. Myself being a lover and user of Street, I wrote to the company imploring them to reconsider their decision. Life has to move on and so when my plea seemed to fall on deaf ears, I sold my beloved Street of 1997 after using it very contentedly for 9 years and bought myself another motorcycle. Now I am given to understand that the spares have started coming in for the Street.
